Poured concrete is one solid surface. If it cracks or shifts, repair is difficult. Paving stone is made up of individual units set on a prepared base, so any damaged piece can be removed and replaced without disturbing the rest. Paving stone also offers far more design options and tends to look more refined around pools and patios.
Gravel bases can compress, wash out, or shift with Ontario’s freeze-thaw cycles, causing pavers to settle unevenly over time. A poured concrete base eliminates that risk entirely.
